NumNum might be ideally positioned only two minutes from Southwark station, but it’s also relatively off the beaten track. Head down below the arches and you’ll find it, tucked underneath the railway so every now and then the soothing rumble of a train sounds overhead. Despite this, the interior is bright and breezy, thanks to the glass frontage and high corrugated roof. There’s a pop of hot pink neon (who doesn’t love hot pink neon, come on), and some cute peachy ‘love-seat’ type booths across the wall. Go order at the counter and then get comfy for a quick and tasty meal – oh, and check out the pictures of Chinese hipsters in the loos.
