A late night cocktail bar, located in Central London, The Breakfast Group (Lucy Wong) chose to work with KAI Interiors to conceptualise and deliver a bespoke, beautiful interior design where East seamlessly meets West.

The Challenge
Based on colonial Hong Kong, our interior design brief derived from the fictional character ‘Lucy Wong’. A passionate lady, Lucy kept her heritage alive by hosting magnificent cocktail parties in her lavish central London flat, alongside delicious food inspired by traditional cantonese cuisine.
To bring the story of Lucy to life, KAI Interiors was tasked with designing the main bar area with separate dining and lounge spaces and an outdoor courtyard. Delayed by COVID restrictions, we had many aspects to consider and negotiate.
Our Solution
Our team of interior designers strived to create an original, bespoke space that could hold its own against the vibrant yet saturated nightlife scene of Soho and Fitzrovia in London’s bustling West End.
Living by our passion for unique design concepts, we created a cutting edge dim sum parlour and cocktail bar where East meets West. Seamlessly executed design details also keep elements of traditional Hong Kong alive, to create a space with a refreshing perspective that doesn’t conform to other trends and acts as the perfect backdrop for social media snaps, which in turn raises brand awareness.
The design also works in harmony with the brand’s values and marketing and the result is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy.
From a business perspective, the clever design allows for a premium food and drink offering as well as increased seated covers, which vastly increases revenue potential. The new design layout facilitates customers remaining in the venue throughout the evening, with more space to order food and drink and remain after dining to enjoy live entertainment, taking place in a space-conscious performance area.
