An independent pizza restaurant, located in London, Bocca Bocca chose to work with KAI Interiors to create and deliver an interior design concept that captures and celebrates the stunning beauty of the Amalfi coast.

The Challenge
Having been let down by a previous interior design company, KAI Interiors were tasked with rescuing this project. As an independent restaurant named Bocca Bocca, which translated means ‘mouth mouth,’ the client wanted a blend of slick Italian design, combined with the flavour of their home in Italy on the stunningly beautiful and iconic Amalfi coast.
The space was long and thin, so the challenge was to lay out a design concept that felt inviting, comfortable, and delivered the flavour of Italy.
Our Solution
Inspired by the Amalfi coastline, Bocca Bocca, an authentic pizzeria located in the heart of Leytonstone, East London, celebrates the sensuous curves and warm, fun colours of the region, producing a softer design scheme to relax and dine. Featuring both bespoke tiled table tops and made to order furniture pieces, the space provides flexibility and fluidity between the restaurant and the communal dining area.
We found the sharp lines of the loose pieces of furniture juxtaposed against the organic curves of the joinery pieces created a beautiful blend and harmony. Moreover, the space evolves as you travel through it, revealing hand painted artwork that echo and encompass the Italian coast.
